A Prayer for Family Road Trips

Dear Lord of all mercies, I ask for your protection on the journey I’m about to undertake. Sometimes the roads can be a scary place. Drivers are distracted, there is construction and delays and traffic jams. But we’re setting out on this trip as a family to be together and have fun. So take away my worry, help me be vigilant but relaxed.

A Prayer for Mindful Travel

I long to enjoy travel, the airport’s busyness, the takeoff, and landing because I know what awaits me at my destination. Whether it is work or pleasure, I know that with you, you will bring good things to me. Stories, experiences, and sights that prove your beauty and give me reason to praise you. Help me relax during my travels; help me fill my heart with truths from your Word that can calm my fearful soul. Please give me a peace that surpasses all understanding and help me to rest in you. Thank you for the opportunity to travel. In your precious name, I pray amen.

A Prayer for Protection and Support

Lord, be our guide and our protector on the journey we are about to take. Watch over us. Protect us from accidents. Keep us free from harm to body and soul. Lord, support us with Your grace when we are tired. Help us be patient in any trouble which may come our way. Keep us always mindful of Your presence and love.

Heavenly Father, Please bless our vacation. Help our family to have patience and understanding. Guide us to be mindful of this gift of time together. Help us to make compromises when necessary and handle any chaos that comes our way with Your love and grace. Open our eyes to truly see the beauty of the memories we are creating that will last a lifetime. Amen.
